Paul N. Heckt
SPECIAL PLANNING FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE™
Recent History
Paul N. Heckt, Attorney at Law (1997-present)
Engaged in private practice of law, focusing on estate planning (wills and trusts), probate, elder law and corporate law.
President, Special Planning, LLC (2007-present)
Seeing a need to provide closely related but ancillary services to his legal clients, Paul formed Special Planning, LLC to provide specialized insurance planning services to parents of persons with disabilities, and general insurance planning services to other persons engaged in the estate planning process. The Company also assists business owners who need help managing their health insurance and employee benefits.
Although Paul is licensed to sell all forms of "people insurance" (but not cars, boats or houses), he does not compete with insurance agents who refer their clients to him, preferring to let the referring agents handle the insurance side while he handles the legal side. However, his insurance experience is extremely useful in developing an insurance plan that is coordinated with the legal plan. If clients do not have an insurance agent, Special Planning, LLC can help them or refer them to independent agents that they work with.
Independent Insurance Broker (1997-present)
Licensed to sell individual and group health insurance, life, disability and long term care insurance, fixed and index annuities, Medicare Supplement (Medigap), Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug plans (Part D) to Minnesota residents and Companies doing business in Minnesota.
